Had Adam round to sort some sockets out in our utility room as the previous work that had been done had everything running off an extension cable.
Once he'd started to get to work he informed us that upon inspection due to the previous bodge that had been done on most of the electrics in the kitchen and the utility room (extension on and old victorian house) the work would be unsafe to do.
Other than a full rewire, the only safe option would be to lower the ampage of the circuit breaker. He explained this may lead to possible issues with the power tripping but was very upfront throughout and we made the decision to proceed anyway.
Although not the ideal scenario (which is no fault of Adam's) it was good to know that he had our safety in mind and consulted us first rather than just cracking on.
He was very efficient and even supplied a temporary circuit board so me and my partner could continue working from home while the rest of the power to the house was off.
Very professional, hardworking and honest which is about as much as you can ask for in a tradesman.
Would highly recommend.
